In the morning after breakfast, we will begin a walking trip to explore the path of plants. We will leave the guest house (Dar Ajgal) and head towards the great valley of Amaghuz, nestled between the mountains of the region and its villages. We will go up towards  one of the oldest Amazigh villages in the region, Agadiran. Arriving at the village of Agadiran, perched at an altitude of 789m (a 2-hour walk from the place of departure), you can admire a superb view of the Oued Amaghouz valley.

The moment we arrive at the village, we explore the historical monuments of the village and learn about Amazigh history and the way of living in the past on the top of these mountains. Although it is an abandoned village, it is still steadfast and there are some wonderful houses in its architecture. There is also an old mosque and a natural water source in the middle of the village.

After the break, we will continue our journey by climbing between these majestic mountains. On the way, in the middle of agricultural terraces, you might encounter some wildlife in the area, such as deer and birds. After 40 min of walking from the village we will reach the location of the picnic in a small garden with a water source in the shadow of an olive tree.

After the picnic, we will leave for the village of Tinnit, located above the gorges of Oued Amarhouz. You can admire the view in front of the Jebel Adad Medni and the gorges of Oued Amaghouz, which cross the mountains of the Anti-Atlas. It is largely still an untouched natural landscape. Evening meal and night at the homestay.

  • Option 1 ( difficult path) : for professionals

After breakfast, you will leave the village of Tinnit to begin a descent towards the Amaghouz valley. We will pass by a group of villages surrounded by Anti-Atlas mountains, where the famous dragon tree “Ajgal” thrives, especially in the village of Amzou. It is an endemic tree of the region considered as one of the most rare species in the world. After that we will go down to the valley (600 m) through a wondrous mountain path between the trees of Argan and the mountain range of Adad Madani and Amzi with an unparalleled panoramic view. At the bottom of the valley we will find the fields of the villagers among the tall and fruitful palm trees. In the valley there are lakes and running water for those who want to swim. After this deserved break, the descent to the village of Addar is done on a difficult path on the cliffs of the mountains while overlooking the river of the Amaghouz wadi. Once at the bottom of the Amaghouz wadi, we can take a break on one of the banks to have a picnic near the village of Addar. You then have the option of swimming in the river if weather conditions permit. Nearby is the Ajgal dragon tree, which grows on the rock on the cliffs of Jebel Adad Medni. We must then begin an ascent on the other side of Oued Amaghouz to reach the village of Fighil at an altitude of 570 m. The path is particularly difficult with fairly steep climbs and descents. The goal is to arrive at the village of Fighil to spend the night in bivouac.

  • Option 2  ( medium path): for beginners

After breakfast, we will leave the village of Tinnit to begin a descent towards the Amaghouz wadi (river) on the other side of the Amaghuz mountains. After this deserved break, this time we will take an easier path (compared to option 1) through the other side of the river towards the village of Azrou, from which you can see the beautiful village of Fighil where you will spend the night in bivouac. From Azrou to Fighil you will pass by a group of agricultural terrasses near a small river crossing these two villages.
