After breakfast, you’ll head to Foum Zguid, following a more direct route with fewer stops but equally dramatic scenery. The journey takes you through soft sand, dried lakes, and rocky hamada terrain, giving you a true sense of isolation. The rock formations, especially in the right light, are perfect for photography, and you’ll pass fossil fields—just be sure not to take them all. From Foum Zguid, it’s a one-hour drive to Tissint Oasis at the foot of Djebel Bani, where you can cool off in the saltwater cascades. You’ll also visit the old village where explorer Charles de Foucauld stayed while mapping Morocco. Your guide will take you to his house, a short walk from the spring, and lead you through the shaded alleys of the medina. The walk is a peaceful way to end the day, with the option to return along the water point.
