Overview of MTB Across Ait Mansour Valley

MTB Across Ait Mansour Valley with Adrar Ecotours offers a scenic journey just 30 kilometers from Tafraout, towards the southeast, where you’ll also have the chance to explore the Ait Mansour gorges, accessible from the center of Tasserirte. One of the most captivating ways to explore the area is by taking the Afella-Ighir loop, which spans almost 50 kilometers of track. Along the way, you’ll come across a number of charming villages, including the village of Gdourt, which is famous for its fused adobe houses and sprawling palm grove. As you journey through the area, you’ll notice countless adobe houses merging together to form a single village, while date palms compete to impress. all featured in our guided eco morocco tours.

Practical Information

Adequate fitness and consistent mountain biking experience are essential for this journey, with stages ranging from 38 to 70 km. Consider the heat during specific times of the year. However, a local team and support vehicle are there to assist; if tired, you can opt for vehicle assistance to complete the stages.

A hat or cap and/or a scarf

1 short-sleeved t-shirt for 2 to 3 days of walking (and/or depending on the season, long-sleeved breathable shirts)

A windproof fleece jacket or softshell

A windproof and breathable waterproof jacket

Comfortable pants for the evening

A pair of sneakers for crossing rivers

A pair of very light casual shoes for the evening

Underwear

A swimsuit

A sarong (useful for a bit of privacy during personal hygiene)
